Building?
We met with a builder today. His business has several floor plans to choose from. I found one that I liked better online so he is going to draw up plans that combine one of his plans and the plan I like. We are trying to stay close to 2000 square feet, although we have to put it on a partial basement (due to the slope) that adds about 1500 unfinished space.

Have you already purchased a lot to build the house on?
No, we haven't bought a lot yet. We are seriously considering the one that I wrote about awhile back and had a picture of. The lot and house would be financed together. There are A LOT of details we still need to get around to. Plus we found a house in our favorite neighborhood today--and it is affordable, and has everything we want...
